PhD project: Role of polyunsaturated fatty acids in energy balance regulation of mice - A dual focus on health and growth

Dietary fatty acids have been recognized as one kind of the essential contributors of several metabolic, physiological, and neuronal mechanisms that are vital to human health. Perinatal exposure to fatty acid intervention can have lifelong impact on metabolic phenotype of both mothers and children. In my project, the effect of omega-3 and omega-6 polyunsaturated fatty acids on neurobiological and metabolic health parameters of maternal mice and offspring will be studied.
