Mr. Changyuan (Leslie) Yang is a PhD candidate in nephrology and pharmacoepidemiology under the supervision of Prof. Ron Gansevoort, Prof. Juan J Carrero, and Dr. Priya Vart. He has training in clinical epidemiology, pharmacoepidemiology, and causal inference.
His research focuses on:
-SGLT2 inhibitors and other novel therapies in type 2 diabetes and kidney disease, particularly in older and frail adults
-Epidemiology of acute kidney disease (AKD), with and without acute kidney injury
-Modifiable lifestyle factors (e.g., obesity and physical activity) in diabetes and chronic kidney disease (CKD).
