A.G. van Assen, MSc

Arjen van Assen (1991) studied Pedagogical Sciences at the University of Groningen (2010-2013). He obtained a master's degree in educational sciences (2013-2014; cum laude) and a Research Master's degree in Behavioural and Social Sciences (2014-2015). Since 2015 he is writing a doctoral dissertation on a child-centred intervention - Child and Youth Coaching - for children growing up in families experiencing complex and multiple problems. Besides his research he mainly focusses on research methods of the social sciences in his teaching. Since 2016 he is a board member of the EUSARF Academy, a network for PhD-candidates and early career researchers in the field of child and family welfare and residantial care.
