Research Data & Software Management (Digital Competence Centre)

Good data and software management are essential for researchers to produce reliable, impactful and reproducible research. At the University of Groningen,  we actively promote and support the development of FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable) data and software. The Digital Competence Centre (UG DCC) is dedicated to helping researchers implement best practices in data and software management, providing tailored strategies and practical solutions for working with research data and software.

The UG DCC offers a wide range of services, such as supporting data management plans, helping with data management sections in grant applications, how to archive and publish data and software, ensuring research is in line with legislation such as the GDPR and providing secure and bespoke IT solutions for various types of research. The UG DCC also has a wide range of skill-based trainings available, offers custom trainings for research groups and educational courses, and covers the latest information on data and software management, privacy and data protection, and IT solutions.
