Introduction to Routing Services in ArcGIS Pro

In the first part of this workshop, participants will learn how to use ArcGIS Pro’s Routing Services to identify the best paths, locate nearby facilities and model service areas using real-world transportation networks. You’ll explore routing tools such as Route, Closest Facility, Service Area, Vehicle Routing Problem, Location-Allocation, and Travel Cost Matrix, and see how they can support transportation studies, logistics, and public service research.

The second part focuses on creating and using your own network dataset in ArcGIS Pro. This advanced section will cover how to build a custom network dataset from your own data and apply it in routing analyses.

Basic GIS experience is required.

This workshop is designed for researchers who want to expand their spatial analysis and decision-support skills.

This is a Research Support Hub workshop. The Research Support Hub is a CIT initiative to support all researchers and PhD-candidates throughout the University of Groningen on data management, geo-services, statistics, machine Learning, AI-tools and high performance computing.
