New blog on Data Autonomy: Feeling seen, heard and respected at a digital university

We need more transparency and democratic decision-making on the collection and use of student data. A student is more than a set of data-points to be analyzed and optimized.

We are facing a pivotal moment for the future of public education. It is time to take a step back and think seriously about our values and whether our data practices align with them.

Roadmap to Data Autonomy

The CIT has started the discussion to investigate the possibilities of how the University of Groningen can gain more autonomy over its data in the future. Together with various representatives from across the University, we are working on a roadmap to promote data autonomy and a strategy that will enable the UG to respect, protect and promote academic freedom in the digital age.
