BDAIRR on NWO list Large-scale Research Infrastructure

BDAIRR (Big Data handling AI and Robotics for Research) has been admitted to the list Large-scale Research Infrastructure (LSRI) list of the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO).
This provides a new impetus for researchers at the University of Groningen who require large-scale computing facilities.
LSRI Landscape
The CIT's BDAIRR infrastructure is now part of the updated LSRI Landscape, which comprises a total of 169 LSRIs. The updated LSRI Landscape forms an important starting point for the new National Roadmap LSRI 2026.
Crucial for scientific breakthroughs
The Roadmap LSRI is a strategic document outlining the most urgent investments needed to realise a high-quality scientific infrastructure of national importance that is crucial for solving complex societal issues and achieving scientific breakthroughs.
