Zernike College visits Zernike Campus
It has become something of a tradition: pupils in the fifth grade of the Zernike College in Haren come to the University of Groningen Zernike Campus at the start of a new school year, to visit the Science LinX exhibits. Why? To get a better idea of what they might study in two years’ time.
Last year, Zernike dean Hidze de Vries explained why he sends all fifth graders who follow the ‘Nature and Technology’ or ‘Nature and Health’ study tracks to the Zernike Campus: it helps them to select a university program. De Vries can see the effect of these visits: ‘before we introduced this, pupils would come for information on university programs late in their fifth year. Now, they want this information in October or November.’
Schools can book a guided tour of the Science LinX exhibition in the Bernoulliborg Building. For inquiries or a special program, send us an email.
