Your biorhythm

--
What is it about?

Your body uses sunlight to regulate your bodily functions in a daily rhythm. This circadian rhythm of approximately 24 hours determines your mood, digestion and sleeping pattern. Good sleep is important for processing everyday stimuli and ‘deleting’ unnecessary information.

How do scientists use this knowledge?

The Groningen chronobiologists study our sleeping patterns and what happens during sleep. Recently they showed that young people’s biological clocks really are programmed differently to those of adults!
