'Exploring the universe at home'

On June 16 DOTliveplanetarium will take you on a live journey through the universe in your own home. In this very first online DOTliveplanetarium show, you will digitally visit some fascinating lociations on the Earth on Moon, like the Himalayas and the Sea of Tranquillity through the use of OpenSpace software. With OpenSpace you can travel through the 3D universe, and zoom in great detail to the surface of planets and moons. And, even better, you can download the software onto your own computer and start exploring even more of our universe if you liked the demonstration!

The planetarium show will be live between 20:00 and 20:30. Until 21:00 there will be an online chat available that can be used to ask questions after the show.
A link to the online planetarium live show will be added here soon.

Participation is free.
Note: the show will be available in English only.

This online event is organized by the University of Groningen (Kapteyn Astronomical Institute and CIT) in collaboration with DOT.
