Abstract
Despite the strong geometric frustration, CaBaCo2Fe2O7 displays a 3D long range magnetic order below TN = 160 K, which can be described by a Heisenberg nearest-neighbor model. At low temperatures a splitting of the magnetic peaks, τ = 0.016 Å-1, has been found using high-resolution neutron diffraction. The corresponding long-period order appears to be induced by DM interaction exploiting the freedom provided by frustration. The observed scattering can be modelled qualitatively with an antiferromagnetic Skyrmion lattice.
