Abstract
It has been a tradition for several years that the students of the Top Master Programme in Nanoscience of the Zernike Institute for Advanced Materials organise a symposium at the end of their first year. At this symposium the students present their short-term research project, which they conducted in various research groups. This gives a great overview of the diverse state-of-the-art research performed at the Zernike Institute in the field of Nanoscience.
This year, the symposium will be organised on Wednesday the 22nd of June and has as theme:
“Nanoscience: The Road Ahead.
Complex Molecules, Devices and Low-Dimensional Transport.”
The day chair will be Dr. G. (George) Palasantzas. As guestspeaker Prof. dr. ing. A.J.H.M. (Guus) Rijnders from the University of Twente is invited. He is professor in the field of NanoElectronic Materials Science and will speak about his current research within this area. Besides Jeol (Europe) BV will also give a presentation about imaging in nanotechnology and especially the current developments in electronmicroscopy.
