Gratama prize for Marleen Kamperman

Prof. Marleen Kamperman, together with Prof. Marijke Leliveld of the Faculty of Economics and Bunisiness, has received a Gratama Jubilee gift of EUR 100,000 for their project 'Bio-fabricating mycelium textiles for sustainable fashion'. The award was presented on Friday, March 28, during the symposium “The Future of Textiles: Creating Sustainable Ecosystems’. The Gratama Foundation awarded the prize in cooperation with the board of the Groninger University Fund. It is one of two awards that the Foundation is presenting on the occasion of its 100th anniversary.
