Dr. Georgian Nedelcu joins Zernike Office as Funding Officer

As of May 1st, Dr. Georgian Nedelcu is member of the Zernike Institute Coordinating Office. Georgian will support collaborative grants. He is mainly screening for [EU] funding opportunities and proactively identifying opportunities and develop projects. As Funding Officer he will mainly focus on the collaborative grants for the clusters of Pillar 2 and Pillar 3 of Horizon Europe. You can approach him for support like:

• Identifying and assessing funding opportunities

• Partner search and consortium building

• Project development (using the Logical Framework Approach)

• Proposal writing (non-scientific parts)

Georgian did his PhD "Novel synthesis routes to colloidal nanocrystals of semiconductive metal pnictides and metal halides" at ETH Zurich with prof. Maksym Kovalenko. After that he joined the Protesescu group at the Zernike Institute for a postdoc. Now, he is looking forward to collaborate with the team of the Zernike Institute and guide the PI's to successful grant applications.
