Article of Blake and Loi on Hybrid Perovskites featured on cover of "Advanced Functional Materials"
Hybrid organometal halide perovskites have been demonstrated to have outstanding performance as semiconductors for solar energy conversion. The understanding of their intrinsic properties is a fundamental step towards the technological exploitation of these materials. The article by G. R. Blake, J. Even, M. A. Loi, and co-workers investigates these intrinsic properties by studying the structural and photophysical properties of high quality single crystals of CH3NH3PbI3from room temperature to 5 K.
