Abstract:
Pulsed lasers are used in a variety of fields in research, technology and life science, to locally modify or even remove material. When femtosecond pulses are used, the physics is particularly appealing, as it consists of a chain of mechanisms that are well separated in time.
In my presentation, I will discuss recent experiments we performed on the ablation of liquids,
gels and of trapped nanoparticles.
