Title:

Generalized geometry and gravity

Abstract:

Generalized geometry provides the framework for a systematic approach to (non-symmetric) metric gravity theory. In this talk, we will begin with a review of generalized geometry, specifically on a Courant algebroid. Next, we will discuss how an Einstein-Kalb-Ramond gravity theory with totally anti-symmetric contortion can be resulted from the Courant algebroid. This approach is related to the study of effective closed string action.
