Gauge Symmetry in F-Theory Flux Vacua
Abstract:
Should we expect a low-energy effective theory derived from string theory to have a non-trivial gauge sector ? I will provide several answers to this question by arguing from different points of view. For concreteness, I will work in the setup of F-Theory.
