The advanced summer school will combine a wide range of computational chemistry and advanced spectroscopy. The school is intended to bridge the gap between theory and practice in applied molecular spectroscopy. It will bring students from each of these fields together to gain practical skills in combining theory (50%) and practice (50%) of analysis of molecular systems and materials of relevance to catalysis, bioinorganic chemistry and materials science.
The school is supported by COST action CM1305 and avails of the experience of excellent and experienced trainers from all over Europe. The international environment will also be a great way for students and Postdocs to build new networks and to present and discuss their own research through an extended poster session.
The structure will be a combination of theoretical classes as well as hands on practical workshops in spectroscopic and magnetic methods as well as training in the use of the latest software available for computational chemistry.
