Classical literature and cognitive studies - Workshop Classical Literature: Theory and Contexts

Cognitive approaches have been steadily gaining in prominence across the humanities, including Classics and indeed the study of Greek and Latin literature. We organize a study day that is intended for specialists, but also and especially for those of you who do not yet have lots of experience in this blooming field of research.

The primary aim of this workshop is to provide a forum for exploration; participants and speakers do not have to have experience with the field of research already – a tryout of first ideas is very welcome. The workshop will also attempt to take stock of the state of the field and the particular challenges and opportunities that it presents for us as classicists.
