NBTE: Nederlandse vereniging voor Biomaterialen en Tissue Engineering (Dutch Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering Association)
The society aims to promote the interests of biomaterials science and tissue engineering in The Netherlands and to stimulate cooperation between universities, institutions and industries in these domains.

The Nederlandse Vereniging voor Matrix Biologie (Dutch Society for Matrix Biology; NVMB) aims at promoting scientific research of both fundamental and applied nature into the characteristics and function of the extracellular matrix in health and disease.

The Netherlands Institute for Regenerative Medicine (NIRM), is an innovative and integrative life sciences research and development program. It is comprised of two formerly existing research consortia in The Netherlands: Stem Cells in Development and Disease (SCDD) and the Dutch Program for Tissue Engineering (DPTE). Integration of these consortia in NIRM combines cutting-edge research in stem cell biology with advances in tissue engineering, so as to improve existing and create novel regenerative medical treatments. Together, these biomedical research fields involving cells and biomaterials will lead to innovative approaches to promote the regeneration of damaged or diseased tissues and organs.

TeRM- SmartMix: the objective of the "Translational excellence in Regenerative Medicine" consortium is to translate national breakthrough proof-of-concept technology in the musculoskeletal and cardiovascular field into clinical trials, paving the way for the development of innovative products.
