Open Research Award - Call for submissions 2026 open

The University of Groningen Library and the Open Science Community Groningen organize the 7th edition of the annual Open Research Award. The award celebrates the many ways in which academics make their research or teaching more accessible, transparent or reproducible.

The call for submissions is open until 16 September 2026, midnight.

Submissions should reflect on the successful or challenging use of 'open' practices throughout the research cycle or in teaching.

UG/UMCG staff and students can submit a case study. Three eligible case studies will be randomly drawn to receive 500 euros each.
