Noctiluca scintillans (sea sparkle or zeevonk)
One of our marine biologists, Karin de Boer, was interviewed yesterday by the Dutch newspaper "De Volkskrant" about the Noctiluca scintillans (sea sparkle or zeevonk in Dutch), which caused some disturbance on the Dutch coastline earlier this week.
