Klaas Timmermans appointed Professor of Marine Plant Biomass

Klaas R. Timmermans has been appointed Professor of Marine Plant Biomass at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of the University of Groningen by 1 September 2014. This is a position within the Ocean Ecosystems Research Group, which is part of the Energy and Sustainability Research Institute Groningen, and involves conducting fundamental and innovative applied research into microalgae, seaweeds, and salt-tolerant plants on the land. He is a researcher at the Royal Nederlands Institute for Sea Research (NIOZ).
