Manuel Melo has been awarded a Veni grant
NWO press release
NWO has awarded Dr. Manuel Melo a Veni grant for his research proposal on anti-microbial peptides. Dr. Manuel Melo wants to elucidate the complex behaviour of how these peptides enter microbial membranes and subsequently disrupt them by using a combination of molecular dynamics simulations and experimental work.
The Veni grant is awarded to outstanding young researchers. It consists of a 250 000 euro scholarship which enables young scientists to conduct independent research and develop their ideas for a period of three years.
