History of Medicine and Health

The theme History of Medicine and Health is jointly embedded in Centre for Historical Studies and the Groningen Centre for Health and Humanities (with strong links to the Aletta Jacobs School of Public Health). We organise monthly online seminar centred on a specific theme. Past seminars have focussed on health and environment, (In)fertility, Africa, and Surgery. If possible one of the theme’s speakers is from our own faculty. The seminars are also open to scholars outside the RUG.
