The talk explores the intersection of semantic technologies and historical research within the context of initiatives like the Listening Experience Database (LED) and the Polifonia project, it examines how Generative AI can be used to augment the curation of structured data while addressing problems where standard approaches struggle with highly specialised humanities knowledge. 

Enrico Daga, PhD, is a Senior Research Fellow at The Open University’s Knowledge Media Institute (KMi) and Visiting Researcher at the University of Turin. He specializes in Web Semantics and Knowledge Graph engineering. His research focuses on the application of these technologies across the humanities, with a particular emphasis on cultural heritage, historical musicology, and the social sciences. Enrico has held leading roles in several major international initiatives, including serving as Technical Director for Polifonia and as a co-investigator for SPICE. Currently, he is contributing to the MultiPod project on collaborative democracy and the ClimateSense project. A dedicated contributor to the open-source community, he is the co-founder of SPARQL Anything and serves as co-Chair of the W3C Data Façades Community Group
