Hi everyone! My name is Leo, and I am a 3rd year medical student at the University of Groningen. I’ve been interested in orthopedics from a young age, as I’ve always been fascinated by the musculoskeletal system and have a strong passion for sports. In my free time, I like to go climbing, skiing, and windsurfing.  I’m looking forward to meeting everyone soon!

My name is Chris and I'm a 5th year medical student at the University of Groningen. I'm currently completing my second year of clerkships and doing research into periprosthetic joint infections. In my free time, I love playing piano, tennis, and bouldering. Looking forward to meeting you all in the Netherlands next year

Hi, I’m Nico, a 6th year medical student at University of Groningen, completing my rotations. I’m from sunny Southern Italy and excited to rejoin the Orthopaedics and Trauma Summer School committee! I believe orthopaedics goes beyond repairing tissues—it's about restoring independence, which is why I'm so passionate about it. I look forward to sharing this at the Summer School! My hobbies include fitness and traveling.

Hi everyone, my name is Taher. I’m a medical doctor currently in my 2nd year of my PhD at UMCG. I’ve had an interest for orthopaedics and sports medicine since a young age from playing lots of sports. In my free time, I enjoy martial arts, padel, and photography. I’m looking forward to meeting you all!

Hey! I’m Kavya, I’m a 3rd year medical student at the Universit of Groningen and this year’s academic coordinator! I am particularly drawn to trauma surgery and orthopaedic traumatology, where acute care and technical skill have significant impacts for patients. Some of my hobbies include baking and playing tennis. Looking forward to meeting everyone soon!

I’m Dagmar, a 5th year medical student at the University of Groningen. For the second year in a row I have the pleasure of being treasurer in this committee. I joined because of my interest in trauma management. I hope to see you this summer here in Groningen!

I am Tiemen a 3rd year medical student at the University of Groningen with a strong passion for sports, which naturally drew me to the musculoskeletal system. This interest has fueled my enthusiasm for orthopedics and trauma care, fields where movement, recovery, and patient-centered practice come together. I am excited to organize a wonderful week for you filled with workshops, inspiring speakers, and a great atmosphere.

: I am Gijs, a 4th year medical student at the University of Groningen, and have always had a strong interest in both sports and medicine. During my first study period, I joined the orthopedics department, which I found incredibly fascinating. This experience further strengthened my enthusiasm for the field.
