LISBOAN – Erasmus Academic Network

The University of Groningen helped found LISBOAN (Linking Interdisciplinary Integration Studies by Broadening the European Academic Network), a network of 67 institutions of higher education and research funded by the European Union. Its aim is to strengthen cooperation between its partners with a view to teaching and researching the Treaty of Lisbon, the European Union‘s legal foundation since December 2009.

Dr. Ronald Holzhacker serves as the University of Groningen representative to the LISBOAN network.He also convened a LISBOAN conference on thematic workpackage5. Area of Freedom, Security and Justice in the Hague on October 20, 21, 2011 at the Dutch Ministry of the Interior and the Second Chamber of the Parliament.
