Research Zernike (ZIAM) Theoretical Chemistry

Theoretical Chemistry

The research within the Theoretical Chemistry group focuses on three research lines. The first research line focuses on the development of hybrid classical/quantum dynamical methods for studies of lightinduced processes and quantum effects in biomolecules and novel materials. The second research line studies localized excitations in extended systems using cluster models and quantum chemical wave function methods. A third research lines singlet fission in molecular solids, in which quantum chemical methods are applied to study systems that are relevant in organic photovoltaic systems.
