Ranjita Bose Recognized for Innovative Game-Based Learning Approach
During the recent Education Festival at the University of Groningen, the Best Practice in Teaching & Learning Award 2025 recognized outstanding educational innovations. Prof. Ranjita Bose from the Engineering and Technology institute Groningen (ENTEG) was honoured as a runner-up for her game-based learning assignment in the third-year Polymer Engineering course. This innovative approach transforms complex polymer chemistry theories into engaging, practical experiences. It enables students to apply analytical techniques to real-world challenges, enhancing their decision-making, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. By allowing students to 'fail safely,' Prof. Bose's method prepares them effectively for future research endeavors. She is awarded 2500 euro to invest in further education innovations.
