Jacquelien Scherpen, professor of Discrete Technology and production Automation, and also Captain of Science for the Dutch topsector High Tech Systems and Materials participated the Dutch State Visit to Austria. In the presence of King Willem Alexander and Queen Maxima, leading Beta and Engineering Scientists from both countries made the case for more gender diversity in science, technology, engineering and mathematics - from personal experience and with facts and figures, supported by the VHTO Expertisecentrum genderdiversiteit in bèta, techniek en IT.
