Anastasiia Krushynska received a Master degree in Applied Mathematics in 2005 from the Donetsk National University, Ukiraine, and the Ph.D. degree in Mechanics of Deformable Solids in 2008 from the Kyiv National University named after T. Shevchennko, Ukraine. She worked as a post-doctoral researcher at one of the NAS Institutea in Ukraine (2008-2010), the Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands (2013-2015), as a Marie-Curie fellow at the University of Turin in Italy (2016-2017), and as a visiting researcher at the National Taiwan University in Taiwan (2007, 2009) and the University of Trento in Italy (2018-2019).

Her research interests are in the field of wave dynamics, acoustics, and vibrations of elastic solids. Since 2013, her research has been focused on phononic materials and acoustic metamaterials, and has been distinguished by several individual grants. She serves as a guest associate editor and a review editor in the journal Frontiers in Materials, as a reviewer for the International congresses on Metamaterials (2017-now), an external referee of the EC FET-Open grants (2017-now), and a reviewer for more than 20 international journals.
