High-school students design a mechanical robotic gripper

26 November 2022

On Nov 25, 2022, Stichting Technasium in the north of Netherlands organised the yearly keuzecolleges together with University of Groningen and other universities. As ENTEG we interact closely with the high-school students pursuing their interest in STEM disciplines. This year, our assignment is the design of a mechanical robotic gripper suitable for harvesting soft fruits such as strawberries. Students learnt how to manipulate robotic arms in our lab on their first day of the project. The day was ended with enthusiasm from all students and they are ready to design, to build and to test their own grippers at their own school.
We are looking forward to welcoming them again in our robotic lab in January 2023.
