Euverink nominated best PhD supervisor 2018
This week the best PhD supervisor 2018 was awarded during a ceremony organized by the PhD Council of the faculty of Science and Engineering. The FSE has about 1300 academic staff of which about 300 act as PhD supervisors. Over 30 PhD supervisors were nominated by means of a questionnaire that was sent out to all PhD students.The nominees ranged from full professors with years of experience and large research groups to starting professors with only a few PhD students. The GSSE and PhD council selected the top 4 on the basis of this input, where the quality of the answers and the number of votes were given equal importance.
Prof.dr. Gert-Jan Euverink, professor in Products and Processes for Biotechnology at ENTEG, was one of the 4 supervisors who was nominated for the award. He received flowers and a certificate of appreciation, congratulations! Prof. dr. Jan-Anton Koster, professor at the Zernike institute of Advanced Materials, was awarded as best PhD supervisor 2018 of the Faculty.
