Erratic energy production

The university newspaper published an article on the research of Prof. Dr. Jacquelien Scherpen and her coworkers within the research group Discrete Technology & Production Automation. The paper describes problems of the future energy grid that has to deal with huge fluctuations in energy. This complex situation with thousands of variables it an interesting challenge for our mathematicians.
