Erik Heeres is awarded a LIFT-project grant for 230kEuro
The NWO Innovation Fund Chemistry has awarded five LIFT projects for research collaborations between university researchers and companies. One of these grants is for the project ‘Bio-p-terephthalic acid (Bio-PTA) from glycerol’; a close collaboration between Prof. dr. Erik Heeres (ENTEG, Green Chemical Reaction Engineering), dr. André Heeres (BioBTX/Syncom) and dr. Niels Schenk (BioBTX/KNN Advies) .
NWO Chemical Sciences contributes a total of 2 million euros to the various projects and businesses match 0.6 million euros. LIFT is a new public-private partnership form that was introduced in 2015 . In a LIFT project involves at least one company and one research institute both working in chemical research.
