ENTEG-researchers lead key innovations in Dutch-German hyperloop project

24 October 2025

Dr. Mauricio Munoz Arias and Professor. Dr. Maryam Tehrani from ENTEG are spearheading Work Package 1 (Structural Health Monitoring & Sound Emission Management) in the HyperBRIDGE project, an Interreg VI-A project of 4.8 million Dutch-German collaboration advancing Hyperloop technology. Their team will supervise two PhD candidates: one investigating noise and vibration control in Hyperloop infrastructures, and the other developing AI-driven structural health monitoringusing embedded sensors and digital twins. They will closely collaborate for physical measurements with a digital twin of the test tracks at EHC Veendam and goTube Emden, and physical measurements with a digital twin of the test tracks at EHC Veendam and goTube Emden, and for final validation and demonstration with Omnidots (Leer). In addition to the two PhD positions, two Engineering Doctorate (EngD) positions will work at the industrial partners, further enhancing the project’s applied research focus. The researchers (and Omnidots) have secured a total budget of almost 1M€ within the project.
