CEASG Conference 'Contemporary Mongolia: International Relations, Mining and Society'

On 28 and 29 November the Centre for East Asian Studies Groningen (CEASG) organizes a conference on contemporary Mongolia: International Relations, Mining and Society.

The two-day conference, is organized around three panels related to Mongolia (and also Inner Mongolia, China):

  • Panel 1: Mongolia: Foreign Policy and Belt & Road Initiative
  • Panel 2: Mongolia: Foreign direct investment
  • Panel 3: Mongolia: Mining

Following participation, participants are invited to submit a conference paper for publication. These and other contributions will be tentatively published by Brill, Leiden [for an example of an earlier CEASG conference publication see: China, East Asia and the European Union: Strong Economics, Weak Politics? Halbertsma, T. (ed.) & van der Harst, J. (ed.), 2016, Leiden: Brill. (International Comparative Social Studies; vol. 35)] Contributions towards travel and accommodation costs are available to selected participants. The conference is convened on 29 November at the University of Groningen, with support from among others the National Council for Mongolian Studies and CEASG.
