Dynamical modeling and optimal distributed control design of the Ocean Grazer's floater blanket

Producing electricity from wave energy becomes one great potential of energy source given that nearly 71% of earth surface is water-covered. Recently, a novel wave energy converter (WEC) using multi-pump, multi-piston power take-off (MP2PTO) termed Ocean Grazer has been proposed by and developed at The University of Groningen. Control algorithm that provides adaptation capability for optimally extracting energy from ocean waves with varying wave heights and wavelengths are developed.
