Young talent award for a Bernoulli MSc student

We congratulate Maaike Los for winning a Young Talent Graduation Award from the Royal Holland Society of Sciences and Humanities (KHMW).


She won one of the two ex-aequo KNVI/KIVI second prizes with her Master's thesis "Choosing Fair Committees and Budgets: Proportionality in Multi-Winner Elections and Participatory Budgeting" , under the supervision of Prof. Davide Grossi and Dr. Zoé Christoff while doing her MSc in Artificial Intelligence.

The prize was presented during an online ceremony on Monday 29 November. At 29:40 you can find the part with words from the jury and at 32:13 a short clip of Maaike.
Maaike Los is one of 12 Groningen science and engineering students who won a national Young Talent Award this year.
Maaike is currently a PhD student in the Multi-Agent Systems group.
