Probability and Statistics
The research activities of the probability and statistics unit span a wide range of topics in modern probability theory, theoretical and applied statistics, and discrete mathematics. These include percolation theory, random graphs, stochastic geometry, graphical models, statistical genetics and topological data analysis. Our research links to all three of the research themes of the institutes, Geometry and Its Applications, Systems, Data and Society and Computing and Cognition.
