Title: Digitalization and its impact on Software Architecture
Abstract:
Industries are currently experiencing a radical shift called Digital Transformation which affects the whole value chains of companies.
For instance,
• digitalization enables value-add through smart data acquisition and emergent behavior within systems of systems.
• tight integration of business processes allows more effective communication and cooperation of businesses (B2B) and customers (B2C).
In addition, new business models help transform mere product businesses to solution and service businesses.
All of these developments have a large impact on software architecture and software architects.
It is the goal of the colloquium to illustrate some of the challenges companies and software development organizations are facing with respect on software engineering in general and software architecture in particular.
