Third IEA International CCS Regulatory Network Meeting
Prof. Dr Martha Roggenkamp and Dr Avelien Haan participated in the CCS regulatory network meeting of the IEA in March 2011. During these meetings representatives of countries, NGO’s and industry discuss the regulatory issues related to CCS.
Central themes during the meeting were:
- long-term liability for CCS
- public engagement
- financial assurance for long-term stewardship
Avelien Haan held a scene setting presentation on long term liability, after which the countries and organizations that ware represented, shared their insights and views on this issue. As a representative of CCS research in the Netherlands, Martha Roggenkamp presented the GCEL view on the three central themes of the network meeting.
