Personal injury
The term ‘personal injury’ refers to the injury or death damages that can result from, for example, traffic or work accidents or incidents of violence. This complex area of law raises many questions within insurance, liability and compensation law. A proper settlement of personal injury is of great importance, both for those affected and for the parties who have to compensate for the damages incurred.
Social and legal importance
The Personal Injury Chair is unique in the Netherlands and underlines the social and legal importance of the topic of personal injury. By granting this chair, the University of Groningen hopes to continue to make an important contribution to the improvement of the settlement of personal injury cases.
