Free-movers
Would you like to go on exchange to a university that is not one of our partner universities? Or all our exchange spots have already been used? Going on exchange as a free-mover might be an interesting option for you.
Advantages of being a free-mover
-
You can choose freely the university you wish to study at, provided the host university accepts free-movers and our Board of Examiners has labelled the institution's level as suitable for your studies. Please inform the Exchange Office of the university of your choice in order to obtain a pre-approval.
-
You do not have to comply with the regular exchange formalities in Mobility Online nor attend the mandatory info sessions. You would still have to register your mobility in our Mobility Log.
Disadvantages of being a free-mover
-
The level of the institution and/or the availability of suitable courses has not been investigated properly (what is always a part of assessment before signing a Student Exchange Agreement).
-
You have to research the possibilities and formalities yourself. The Exchange Office can not help you with arranging the exchange.
-
Not every university accepts free-movers. Sometimes, if they do, there is a fee for such an exchange.
-
You do not have right to a grant from our university.
