Applicants with non-law bachelor's degrees

If you are Interested in pursuing an LLM at the University of Groningen but do not have an LLB (Bachelor of Laws) degree, you can in some situations be admitted by successfully completing a UG pre-LLM programme.

Bridging programme

Pre-LLM programmes are 1-year, 60 ECTS bridging programmes for students who want to enter one of the Faculty of Law’s LLM programmes, but have certain (law) deficiencies in their academic background. Each pre-LLM programme is geared specifically toward removing the deficiencies you have for the corresponding LLM. If you have successfully completed your pre-LLM programme, you will have access to the corresponding LLM programme.

Tuition fee

You can find more about the fee for pre-Master programmes on this page.

Entry moments

The 60 ECTS pre-LLM programmes start in September.
The 30 ECTS pre-LLM programmes have a start moment in September and in February.
