Dr. Th.J.G. van den Hoogen

Theo van den Hoogen studied economics, law and international relations at the Universities of Tilburg and Groningen . Many of his earlier publications are in the field of international conflict studies and on national security and defence policies. More recently his research concentrates on policy-making in the European Union and in this field he wrote on enlargement issues and institutional reforms. He has held guest-chairs at the University of California ( Davis and Sacramento ) and Peking University . He has been chairman of the Netherlands Association of Peace and Research conflict and is co-editor of the Yearbook Peace and Security (Vrede en Veiligheid).
