Prof. Dimitry Kochenov, a constitutional-law expert at Groningen University, was interviewed on Dozhd (in Russian), the biggest Russian independent TV channel, to discuss the position of the Russian passport in terms of visa-free travel around the world. Stunningly, the passport of a huge country with a large economy is worse in terms of international travel than even the documents issues by Kiribati, Timor Leste and former Soviet Republics of Moldova, Georgia and Ukraine. His only explanation for this is the isolationist course of the current Putin regime.
