Dimitry Kochenov on selling European citizenship on Maltese national TV
On January 28 Prof. Dimitry Kochenov (EU Constitutional Law) gave an elaborate interview for the prime-time evening news-show on TVM, Maltese national TV. The interview concerned the state of the art in European law on the issues of selling European citizenship. Professor Kochenov insisted that the European Commission's threats of starting infringement proceedings against Malta over its citizenship law are baseless and ultra vires. The law is quite clear on this issue.
